Boston Brace
The Boston brace is still the dominant choice of doctors and patients. At a sensitive age, such as adolescence, its discreet appearance makes it ideal for placement through clothing and allows its use during daily activities. The method was developed in the 70s in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Therapeutically, the Boston brace is recommended by the doctor with the aim of correcting the curvature in parts of the trunk and is indicated for spines with a curvature between 25-40 degrees. It is a dynamically active brace, designed to support the spine through the rule of three points in multiple axes of pressure. It is formed after measures are taken by Vesalius' qualified orthopedic engineer and after a doctor's opinion and the necessary imaging tests. The personalized Boston brace is made from thermoplastic material in our workshop and has velcro straps on the back for proper fit.
Cheneau Brace
The Cheneau brace is a brace that works to correct the position of the spine by applying pressure through the customized way its shell is constructed. The corrections are selected during its configuration, after taking the measurements of the patient's body, by the specialized graduate orthopedic engineer of Vesalius and after consulting the doctor and the necessary tests. The Cheneau Brace is made from thermoplastic material in our lab and features velcro straps on the front for proper fit.
