A transfemoral residual limb typically exhibits an especially large amount of soft tissue. Optimally suited to this anatomical characteristic, the Skeo 3D silicone liner tapers at the distal end. The tapered shape softly cushions the tissues, rather than constricting and pushing them upwards. However, the upper section of the liner is cylindrical in shape, thereby supporting the residual limb from all sides. The chance of uncomfortable pressure points is reduced as the liner conforms to the natural shape of the residual limb.
